The Swayambhunath temple is one of the holiest Buddhist Chaityas in Nepal, residing in the western part of Kathmandu valley. Swayambhunath also known as ‘Monkey Temple’. This is the best place to see the entire city, as it is located in the top of the hill. Buddhists and Hindus both perform and worship here. There are a lot of small temples and monasteries to see around Swayambhunath temple. The wonderful views from the Swayambhunath temple are wonderful and it has huge significance as well. It is the center hub of Buddhism in Nepal and is surrounded by hundreds of monasteries. Lichchavi rulers renovated the staple during 8th century, which has made on the shape of a Mandala. This is one of the most popular holy sites for Buddhist followers inside the Kathmandu valley. It is one of the important artifacts of Kathmandu valley. The total time spend at this temple will be around one and half hour.

Pashupatinath temple is a highly revered temple of Kathmandu valley. There are a lot of places to see around Pashupatinath temple. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple offers wonderful spiritual experiences and surroundings. It is situated 3 km northwest of Kathmandu on the banks of the Bagmati River, including many holy areas Deupatan, Jaya Bageshwori, Gaurighat (Holy Bath), Kutumbahal, Gaushala, Pingalasthan and Sleshmantak forest. There are around 492 temples, 15 Shivalayas (shrines of Lord Shiva) and 12 Jyotirlinga (phallic shrines) to explore.
It is also a cremation site on the raised platform along the Bagmati River, where the last rites of Hindus are performed. The total time for Sightseeing around the Pashupatinath temple will be about two hours.
