We've always enjoyed travelling on a budget, making the $ go as far as we can make it, and leaving a small footprint as we go. Now that we're travelling with another family member, it's probably caused us to tighten the belt further. But, for us, it's not about how indulgent our travels are, it's about how much we get out of meeting and interacting with the locals and how off the beaten track we can get.
